Cover Story: From The Al Jood Nebula Comes … Destinyed Valentino—A Supernova!

When two stars are drawn into each other's field of gravity, they merge to create an event that is estimated to happen once every 100,000 years—a Supernova—which exactly describes Destinyed Valentino.

Al Jood Stud of Qatar has added this outstanding son of 2010 Arabian Breeders World Cup Top Five Mare Fabrices Destiny and the genetic giant, DA Valentino, to its roster of stallions; and Destinyed Valentino is, indeed, one of a kind.

A well-balanced horse with classic conformation and tremendous presence, Destinyed Valentino won his Scottsdale stallion class and is also a champion under saddle in the Western Pleasure division. He drew the attention of Al Jood founder Mohamed Jaidah in large part because of his dam, the delicate grey Fabrices Destiny, a daughter of U.S. and Canadian National Champion Stallion, WN Ultimate Star. She was out of Fabrice, an exquisite daughter of Polish National Champion Stallion Eukaliptus, by Bandos.

Fabrices Destiny was lost to the world in a tragic accident that cut her life short, producing a total of only four foals. Among them are Regional Reserve Champion Mare TT Rasheikah, by Rashid Van Ryad, and ABWC Reserve Champion 3-YearOld Colt Montana Firenze, by Ajman Moniscione. "Montana was a step up from his sire—his dam brought a lot to the table in his creation," Jaidah explains. "It was because Destinyed Valentino was out of Fabrices Destiny that I had to have this stallion!"

Destinyed Valentino's sire DA Valentino needs no introduction, being undefeated in a halter career that earned him an astonishing six National Champion Stallion titles as well as Scottsdale Supreme Champion honors. By the immortal Versace and out of the Padrons Psyche mare DA Love, Valentino was also lost far too soon, at the age of eight. Fortunately for the world, he left behind innumerable fantastic progeny who have gone on to earn significant titles and produce exceptional offspring of their own. Destinyed Valentino is one of the best.

Mohamed Jaidah believes that Destinyed Valentino will be the perfect complement to the Al Jood purebred program and has high expectations for what he will produce. He is already the sire of multiRegional Champion Vvallor from the Echo Magnifficoo daughter Magnifficaa FA, who is also the dam of Valentino's mother, DA Love.

With Destinyed Valentino's first foal crop for Al Jood Stud due in 2018, the sky is the limit for this Supernova. The Al Jood team has bred some of their finest mares to him, and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the babies—the next step in the creation of a more diverse Arabian bloodline pool for breeders in Qatar.

On the strength of his quality, his storied pedigree, and his proven ability as a sire, Destinyed Valentino has taken his position in the Al Jood firmament. There, he stands ready to usher Arabian enthusiasts through the portal of Al Jood Stud's "Gateway to the Stars."
